Happy New Year from all of us at Gamut Gallery!
We kicked off 2018 by jumping right into the first weekend of the new year with “Spit Shade”. This exhibit of original artwork from local and national tattoo artists was curated by Minneapolis tattooers Lindsee Bee and Nate Vincent Szklarski. Opening night doubled as the official opening party of the Minneapolis Tattoo Arts Convention , they were a blast & so was the convention!
Jane Wunrow’s “Seeing Voices” will open in February, her exhibit of works explore the intersections and connections between dreams, migraines, psychology, and neurology. You will catch you self digesting her lines, textures & color. The opening reception will feature a live noise set accompanied with visual projections from Michael Masaru Flora & guest Pooch Karton.
Next on the roster is “7 Warrior Women” with Kristi Abbot, Yuya Negishi & Sarah Eppperson. This dynamic team is bringing together collage, street art & tattoos. We are proud to announce that we will also be collaborating with Connie Mrotek for the next installation of Black Magic Woman this May. One of Gamut’s very own, Jamie Owen, is going to put on quite an excellent skate show that will co-inside with this years X-Games this July.
Stay tuned in Gamut has much more in store for 2018!
